Donald Gilberg

Vice President of Strategic Development, Netwitness Corporation

Mr. Gilberg is Vice President of Strategic Development for Netwitness Corporation.NetWitness® Corporation provides patented next generation network monitoring software products which automate network understanding of application layer data and related content. Originally, developed for the US Intelligence Community,  NetWitness NextGenTM  concurrently solves a wide variety of network and security problems, including, insider threat management, data leakage protection, malware activity detection, network performance management, compliance verification and e-discovery.

Formerly, he was Senior Managing Director of Security Accelerator LLC, a strategic advisory and investment firm. He is a consultant to the George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute. Mr. Gilberg is the former Senior Director of CivitasGroup where he served as a consultant to companies in the security space. He is an expert on insurance, risk assessment and mitigation, product liability, food chain safety, and corporate intelligence and fraud investigations. He has also been recognized for his expertise in the areas of security, physical protection, planning for, and the response to, terrorist acts, and the legal implications of terrorism response.  

Mr. Gilberg has served as Chairman and CEO of Gilbergroup, providing litigation support and investigative and corporate intelligence services. He previously served as founder and managing partner of Gilberg & Kiernan, where he was national counsel to several Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Gilberg ’ s practice included a specialty in corporate investigations, fraud and white collar criminal matters. Prior to founding Gilberg & Kiernan, he served as the Washington D.C. resident partner of a New York City law firm and as an adjunct professor of law. He is a former counsel to the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.  

Mr. Gilberg serves on the Boards of Advisors of Squareloop Inc., a location based services (LBS) platform for the distribution of emergency alerting and mobile alerts, www.squareloop.com. He serves on the Board of Directors of Digital Sandbox, Inc., www.dsbox.com. Digital Sandbox provides risk management strategy development, Site Profiler® integration, and analytic support to federal, state and local homeland security and public safety organizations. He is a member of The American Bar Association, and is admitted to the bar in New York, Massachusetts, District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and the United States Supreme Court.   He is a member of ASIS (American Society of Industrial Security), the IACP (International Association of Chiefs of Police), and the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children Financial Coalition against Child Pornography.
