• Details: The State of Washington is the first state in nation to implement a statewide critical infrastructure information system for first responders. The system gives police and fire personnel instant access to more than 300 data points about buildings and facilities, including tactical plans, GIS, floor plans, utility shut-offs and other key information. The 24/7 access to building information allows first responders to quickly contain and mitigate life- and property-threatening incidents. Finnell will discuss how the system works, how it was used to save lives during an actual incident, and how the system can be implemented in other states.
