Jim Tarte Named Chief Financial Officer at Prepared Response, Inc.

SEATTLE, WA -- January 25, 2007 -- Prepared Response, Inc., a leading developer of crisis management planning and response systems, today announced the appointment of Jim Tarte, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer. Tarte is responsible for the long term financial strategies of the company. This includes ensuring that the necessary resources are available as needed for growth and continued investment in the product and services of the company. In addition, Tarte is responsible for all accounting, finance, tax, legal, and human resources strategies and activities.

“Jim has extensive experience working with fast growing technology companies and will be an important addition to Prepared Response,” said Jim Finnell, president and CEO of Prepared Response.

Prior to joining Prepared Response, Tarte served as director of finance at Scout Media, Inc., a provider of college sports content through magazines and the Internet. Tarte also served as controller at X10 Wireless Technology, a retail e-commerce company. Before joining X10, he served as the controller for Taco Del Mar.

Tarte earned his Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration at Seattle University majoring in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Washington State CPA Society.
